The genius idea of the Hello Kitty wine collection originated with Camomilla S.p.A. an Italian fashion company which manufactures and sells Hello Kitty licensed merchandise. Camomilla S.p.A. partnered up with Tenimenti Castelrotto an Italian winery located in the Lombardy wine region. In the United States the wines will be marketed and sold by Innovation Spirits, various other vendors are selling the wine online.

I purr as I tell you about the four different types of sweet nectar available for consumption. Angel Nero, Devil Nero, Brut Rose and a Sweet Pink sparking wine range in price from $19.99-$29.99. The cutsey packaging, true to Hello Kitty form feature the feline in different get ups that coincide with the types of wine.

There are some people who feel that the Hello Kitty packaging will attract the attention of underage children. There is however a strong adult fan base as well, among them celebrities Mariah Carey and Paris Hilton, who are often spotted sporting Hello Kitty merchandise. I was a fan of Hello Kitty merchandise as a child, the older I got the less attention I paid to Hello Kitty however I was aware of the brand. The brand has once again caught my attention with the wine packaging. The way to my heart if through my liver, so the taste will ultimately decide whether the brand will keep my attention. Salud!
