One on One Interview with Zinke

Arin Robinson and Jessie Zinke

Who are the creative minds behind Zinke?

Sisters Arin Robinson + Jessie Zinke are the creative design team behind Zinke Intimates. Arin launched Zinke Design, a wedding and event planning firm in 2006. She extended the brand to include bridal accessories and intimate apparel. In 2009 Jessie joined the team and the pair took Zinke Intimates to a new level with a full collection of lingerie fall 2009.

Your lingerie has a classic flare with a twist of modern, is this how you would describe your designs? Absolutely! We have a young, fresh appeal that is evident in our styles, color and versatility!

What was your inspiration behind Zinke?

We wanted to create a lingerie label that was synonymous with the modern woman. Women now mix-and-match color, style, inner + outerwear and price points. We wanted to take that practice to lingerie and intimate apparel.

Your blog [Inspired] by Zinke Design focuses on event décor and gift giving.  Do you also dabble in event planning?

Yes, Zinke Design began (and still is) a wedding and event design firm. Arin, with a sharp team, runs this business from Tulsa, OK.

Are brides to be a large part of your consumer market?

We launched with specific accessories – slippers, garters, camisoles, etc – that were very specific to the bridal market, so yes, brides were our first big audience. However, as we expanded our line we gained fans outside of that market.
How would you say your intimates differ from other well known brands?

We have fun with our designs. They’re feminine and modern and, above all, versatile. They also reflect our individual personal styles.
